The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola has described the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board JUPEB as another innovative contribution to the development of education in Nigeria. The Vice-Chancellor stated this when he received the members of the JUPEB Board shortly before the commencement of its 6-day training and moderation workshop in FUTA.

The Vice-Chancellor, who described the Board members as competent and innovative, expressed optimism at the Board's ability to achieve its goals. He emphasized the importance of keying into JUPEB's vision and disclosed that the University had a lot to benefit from partnering with the Board hence it was leaving no stone unturned in showing its total commitment. He encouraged the board to continue on the already set standards, expressing optimism that JUPEB would become the pace setter in the no distant future.

Describing the warm reception received on arrival, the Interim Coordinator of the Board, Professor Duro Ajeyalemi thanked the Vice-Chancellor for accepting to host the Board's training and moderation workshop at short notice. He explained that the Board was conducting a training and moderation workshop for examination conductors with the aid of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) and the West African Examination Council (WAEC).He hinted that JUPEB would continue to look up to the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management as a whole for support as it had always provided neededl support whenever required.

Earlier, Professor James Okunlola, the Director of the University's Centre for Continuing Education and the Focal Officer for JUPEB in FUTA thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his special interest in the activities of JUPEB, particularly for agreeing to host the 6 days training and workshop.
