President Goodluck Jonathan signed into law, last March, the amended National Minimum Wage Bill, which has raised the monthly minimum wage from N7, 000 to N18, 000. With the new Act now in force, employers of labour in specified categories of establishments, including the nation's three tiers of government, are obliged to implement the law.
