Former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, was on Monday, sighted at the headquarters of the State Security Service (SSS), where he was said to have interacted with operatives on some of his actions relating to the Boko Haram while in office.
Sources confirmed that the former governor arrived at the headquarters of the SSS in Abuja at about 9.40 a.m, where he was asked to meet a team of operatives working on the Boko Haram saga.
"I can tell you very little about his mission at the Yellow House, but it is certain he was there on invitation," a source said, adding that the governor was apparently not arrested.
"I think he was there on schedule and once the interrogation ended, he was allowed to go," the source said.
It was confirmed that the SSS decided to extend invitation to Sheriff, following the seemingly endless menace of the Boko Haram sect, which was said to have blossomed during his tenure as governor of Borno State.
However, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin, on Monday, warned that no amount of propaganda could stop the military from completing its assignment in dislodging the Boko Haram sect in Borno and other parts of the country.
Now it is time overturn the situation with iron hands, otherwise another sects may wake up tomorrow to do similar threats. No amnesty for unlawful act.
