Title: UNIABUJA VC Appoints New Deans, Directors & HODs

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), Professor Michael Adikwu, has approved the appointment of Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments for the institution.

He appointed Dr. Peter Adakayi of the Department of Geography as the Acting Dean, Student Affairs; Dr. K.M. Waziri as Acting Dean, Faculty of Law; Professor C.O. Okwudishu of the Faculty of Education as Director, General Studies and Dr Amos Dlibugnaya of the Department of Linguistics as Acting Director Asian Studies.

Similarly the VC approved the appointment of Dr Jude Omeje of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as the Deputy Dean Student Affair.

Other appointments approved by the Vice-Chancellor are: Dr. Yusuf A Zoaka as Head, Department of Political Science and Deputy Dean, Social Science; Dr. Alli Lukman (Deparment of Medical Biochemisty); Professor S. E. Garba; (Department of Surgery); Dr. Samuel O. Olanrewaju (Department of Statistics); D r. Abu Mallam (Department of Physics); Dr. Oku Ukpong(Department of Mathematics) and Dr. Julius Ajah (Department of Agricultural Economics & Extension).

Others are Rev. Fr. Dr. A Essien (Department of Philosophy & Religions); Prof. O.N. Maduka-Durunze(Department of Linguistics); Professor Anyanwu, S.O (Department of Economics); Dr. W.O. Gabadeen (Department of Education Management & Planning); Mrs. Fatima Alkali (Department of Private & Islamic Law ); Mr. Aladeitan Olanrewaju (Department of Public & International Law); Dr. Benjamin Okike(Department of Computer Science); Dr. Isaac Obasi ( Public Administration); Dr. Sunday P. Ejaro ( Geography & Environmental Studies); Dr. Philip Akpen(History); Dr. Bahal Margaret(Sociology), Dr. Enem Simon as Deputy Director Entrepreneurship Centre and Dr. Shehu Abdullahi Zuru as Deputy Dean, Faculty of Law.

All the appointments are with effect from the date of their separate letters of appointment, and for a period of two years in the first instance.
