The Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has attributed the crises and disturbances in the country, especially the militancy and kidnapping saga, in the Niger Delta and the Boko Haram problem in the North East, to joblessness.
He stated this while receiving a delegation of the University of Ilorin, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, that paid him a courtesy visit last Thursday (July 7, 2011) at the Government House, Ilorin.
He then tasked universities to continue to play their significant roles in nation building and focus more on entrepreneurial skills so that graduates will be job creators, not job seekers.
UNILORIN Bulletin
On the one hand, l agree that Joblessness is the cause of most social vices and violence in the country. However, l disagree that joblessness is the drive behind Bokom Haram's violent activities.
There is some brain/elite behind them and they are driven by some beliefs, which they attribute to their religion.
They openly declared war on anyone who goes against their believes, either a Christian or Muslim.
