Kwara State University (KWASU) located in Malete, Kwara State invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into non-residential, one-year Pre-degree and Remedial Programmes of the University.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicants for pre-degree programme are expected to have five SSCE credit papers including English for all students and Mathematics in case of Science and Social Sciences
2. Applicants for remedial programme are expected to have not less than four SSCE credit papers.
3. Holders of senior Islamic studies certificate (SISC) with not less than five credit papers wishing to read Arabic or Islamic studies are also eligible.
THE CURRICULUM
• Three major syllabuses namely: JAMB, WASC and NECO have been harmonized to form the curriculum for both Pre-degree and Remedial Studies.
• Students are to be trained in three(3) major subjects relevant to their proposed degree programmes in addition to English and Mathematics.
DURATION
• Candidates are expected to spend uninterrupted nine months starting from September-May each year. This is to allow students prepare for external examinations that may be required of them.
STAFFING
• Lecturers of Kwara state university will be major participants, while some adjunct lecturers may be employed from outside.
• It is projected that 150 students will apply for the programmes cutting across Arts, social sciences and pure sciences.
• While preference will be given to science, scarce areas in humanities will also be considered.

SCHOOL FEES
Total fees payable for non-science students is N100,000.00 and N120,000.00 for science students.
TUITION FEE
Each student will pay N100,000.00 while additional N20,000.00 will be paid by science candidates for laboratory needs.
