The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday May 29, 2015 as Public Holiday to celebrate the 2015 Democracy Day.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, in a statement signed by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, on Monday in Abuja.

The minister urged Nigerians at home and the diaspora to support the incoming government and to pray for the success of Nigeria's democratic process.

He congratulated the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, on his electoral victory, wishing his administration good luck.
