Title: Child bomber kills 10 in Nigeria market
Post by: CNN on Jun 25, 2015, 05:31 AM
Kano, Nigeria (CNN)A suicide bomber, believed to be about 12,  blew herself up in a market in northeast Nigeria's insurgency-plagued Yobe state, residents and medics said. The blast Tuesday killed 10 people and injured more than 30 others.

The bomber detonated her explosives among traders and customers at a weekly market in the remote Wagir village.

Yobe state has repeatedly come under attack by Boko Haram militants.

Although no one claimed responsibility for the attack, Boko Haram is suspected of carrying out the attack. A day earlier, a 17-year old girl killed 20 people and injured 50 in a suicide attack on a bus station in neighboring Madiguri, the capital of the state of Borno.

President ‎Muhammadu Buhari has made crushing Boko Haram his priority since assuming office on May 29. It's not clear what impact the state of the economy will ‎have on Nigeria's fight against Boko Haram.
