Some residents in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Friday advised parents against intercourse preferences among their children.

Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja said both s*xes had their unique and different impact in the family.

Mrs Magdalene Bature, a psychologist, said parents giving preferences to a particular s*x sometimes brought conflict in the home.

Bature said directly or indirectly, the not-preferred s*x would begin to feel intimidated without voicing out.

According to her, both the male and the female child make impact in the family depending on the role each played.

Similarly, Pastor Alex Mba of Chapel of Life Ministries, Nyanya, said children, irrespective of the s*x, are heritage of the Lord and should not be discriminated against.

"Nobody has the power to produce a string of hair, let alone human being.

Every child is a joy and a reward from God.
