REQUIREMENTS: – Technical school graduate and/or Certification of the Federal Ministry of Labour (Trade test), NABTEB certification in Electrical and National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or College graduate with a Bachelor Degree/Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Physics or similar technical and/or Engineering education background preferred. – At least five (5) years professional working experience in similar power plant and in handling shift duties and attending to system and devices breakdowns, including monitoring 11KV, 33KV substation (30 MVA), Auxiliary transformer (2 MVA) and other ICE parameters and also recording of energy meter readings. – Excellent Communication, Spoken English and Report Writing. – Has been working as a Mechanical or Electrical maintenance technician in at least a 7 × 8.74Mw 20V34SG gas fired Wartisilla or Waukesha or comparable – OEM equipment or similar power plant for at least 5 years and technical experience must include trouble-shooting and operation and maintenance of ICE alternators and auxiliary equipment of ICEs. – Basic understanding to PLC and – Controls systems and Automation and electrical and control system blueprints reading. – Essential knowledge of computer operation and flexible utilization with knowledge of power generation and operation OEM device monitoring proprietary software application.
