Job Title: 2D/3D Animator Company: Genii Games Limited Job Type: Full Time Qualification: BA/BSc/HND Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job Field: Media / Advertising / Branding . Genii Games Limited is a company that primarily caters for the promotion and preservation of indigenous African Cultural values among kids using interactive media such as mobile apps. We are constantly re-imagining and creating products that provide kids with a fun and engaging experience to learn and appreciate their cultural values. Hence, we are searching for someone who is ambitious, fun, and creative to work with our team. . Job Purpose: - As animator, your main task is to create feature level animations using defined cultural themes especially for kids. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: • Create and animate characters, environments and effects for children's educational resources • Develop and manage asset pipelines • Meet project milestones and deadline set by the team • Work with a team of writers, concept artists, sound engineers, voice-over artists on storyboards/animatic to bring characters to life • Animate concepts to meet defined audiences and themes • Demonstrate a strong sense of performance posing, timing, weight and lip sync • Deliver quality work in a timely manner . Person Specification: · Proficiency in 2D or 3D modeling and animation tools such as Toon Boom, Adobe Flash, Autodesk Maya, Blender (please indicate the software you're most proficient at) · Have good drawing skills using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop · Experience with an animation studio or participation in an animated short is an added advantage · Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team · Knowledge of After Effects is also an advantage · Have a good working knowledge and understanding of the animation production cycle for multiple media/platforms (web, tv, games) · Flexibility to develop animations for various uses – games, videos etc. - This is a full-time role and the candidate will be an essential member of the team and therefore needs to be willing to hit the ground running from day 1. - Ideal opportunity for an undergraduate, graduate or equivalent. - Genii Games is built on the passion of its members and a purpose to create engaging experiences from our rich cultural heritage, hence it's a great opportunity for you to channel your skills into our offerings.
