Position Title: Returns & Compliance Officer

Job Summary:
• The Returns & Compliance officer will ensure optimal tax planning and that the company makes due remittances to specified state and federal law and order.
• He/she will be required to ensure required returns are made to various government statutory bodies as at when due.
The Returns & Compliance officer will be required to:
• Ensure full compliance with telecommunications license provisions, sector regulations and competition laws.
• Flag and ensure due remittances are made to various regulatory bodies according to specified state and federal law and order.
• Liaise with internal auditors to ensure accurate deduction of taxes and prompt rendering of returns.
• Take appropriate managerial action to ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax remittance.
• Ensure all deductions from the company's revenues are receipted for and timely fillings are made to the appropriate authorities.
• Comply with statutory requirements and management of cash flow.
• Liaise with Bankers and other financial/Govt Institutions.
• Liaise with External Auditors and Statutory Compliance officers in carrying out audits to determine the organization's compliance level to various statutory agencies.
• Prepare periodic reports to highlight level of returns & compliance and related issues.
Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:
• B.Sc. / HND with minimum of second Upper division /Upper Credit in a Business related degree (Finance and Accounting)
• Minimum of 3 years working experience, 2 years of which should have worked as a Returns & Compliance Officer

• Knowledge of tax, NCC and other statutory requirements
• Practical experience in use of computer audit tools
