NO fewer than five people were, between Sunday evening and Monday, killed around Akala area of Mushin in Lagos State, in a renewed outbreak of violence among social miscreants.
No fewer than 20 vehicles were badly damaged and several people seriously injured in the latest violence, which had thrown residents of Mushin into another round of panic.
The Monday clash was a spillover of the Sunday's clash at Adeshina Street, where two factions of hoodlums clashed over the control of the territories in the area, leading to the wanton destruction of life and property, with six stalls completely burnt.
The hoodlums also took the advantage of the unrest to break into locked up shops and looted goods estimated at several hundred of thousands of naira.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the Monday clash started around 10.00 a.m, when armed youths from Akala stormed the railway line area of Idi Oro and engaged their rivals in another clash.
