The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that President Goodluck Jonathan is yet to brief the party on the six-year single term for the president and governors, which has generated controversy in the country.
Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune in Ifaki, Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, at the weekend, at the funeral service for Madam Comfort Ajayi Oni, mother of former governor of the state, Chief Segun Oni, the national legal adviser of the PDP, Chief Olusola Oke, said the party was still waiting for the president's briefing on the matter.
Chief Oke said the PDP had no official position on the matter yet, because the president had not brought it before the party, adding that what was being reported in the media showed that the people were faster than President Jonathan on the issue.
