Applications are invited for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Mining Engineering of the Institute.
1. Name of the Temporary Post : JRF/SRF/Research Associate (RA)
2. Name of the Research Project : Bearing capacity enhancement of sub-base of opencast coal mine haul road with stabilised fly ash based composites and evaluation of the resilient modulus approach (code: MN-OCM)
3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : CSIR , Govt. of India
4. Tenure of the Project : Till 31.05.2012, unless extended by the sponsors
5. Tenure of the Assignment : Till 31.05.2012 subject to satisfactory performance
6. Job Description : To assist PI/Co-PIs in research work, experimentation & field studies related to the project
7. Consolidated monthly compensation/ Fellowship : Rs.12,000.00 for JRF/Rs.14,000.00 for SRF/Rs.16,000.00 for RA
8. Essential Qualifications** & experience : B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech. (Civil/Mining/Mechanical) or M.Sc. (Geology/Physics) with valid NET/GATE score for JRF OR
B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech. (Civil/Mining/Mechanical) or M.Sc. (Geology/Physics) with two years of research experience for SRF OR
Ph.D or equivalent degree or ME/M.Tech (Civil/ Mining/ Mechanical) having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience for RA
9. Desirable Qualifications/Experiences (Higher qualification & other experiences) : Experience in research/work related to fly ash utilization shall be given preference. Publications to prove research experience is desired.
10. Trade Test : Required/Not required
** However to pursue higher academic program at NIT Rourkela, candidate must meet the academic regulation of the institute.
