The government says it wants to start negotiating with Islamist group Boko Haram, which has been blamed for a series of recent attacks. The government said a panel would open talks with the group and report back by 16 August. There was no immediate reaction to the statement from Boko Haram.
This is contrary to what has been going around the news. Previous news stated that FG won't negotiate with the radical sect, Boko Haram. Why the sudden change?

You are right but change is constant. Let us see if negotiation will resolve the issue. But, government should not endorse amnesty with benefits for Boko Haram. Otherwise, may future "Boko Harams" will emerge from other regions of the country. Believe!
