Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is recruiting for Grant Management Specialist, Scale-up of Care and Support Services for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Selected States in Nigeria.

Overall Responsibilities:
The Grant Management Specialist has oversight of the grants program for an anticipated $32.5 million, five-year grants program in selected states in Nigeria designed to improve the well-being of OVC and their caregivers . The anticipated emphasis of the project is to 1-strengthen institutional and technical capacity of State and Local Governments (LGAs) to provide, manage, and monitor integrated comprehensive care to OVC and their families; 2-strengthen organizational and technical capacity of civil societies to manage OVC programs; 3-increase caregivers' access to Household Economic Strengthening (HES) Resources; and 4-increase OVC household access to nutrition and food security services.

This position will be based in Enugu, Nigeria.

Specific Responsibilities:
•   The Grant Management Specialist manages and coordinates the project's grants portfolio, serving as the project's expert for planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant applications and providing guidance on cooperative agreements, participating agreements, collection agreements, and memoranda of understanding. 
•   S/he negotiates and reviews all reimbursement requests for allowability and allocability and ensures that awardees are in compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures, and established business practices. 
•   The Grants Management Specialist provides post-award administration, including monitoring all phases of grant agreements and close-out, including assessment of technical progress and performance.

Qualifications:
1. Graduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration
2. Miniumum of 8 years relevant experience in grants management and financial/operational systems preferred.
3. Substantial experience implementing US Government-supported projects and knowledge of USG regulations and procedures strongly preferred.
4. Experience working with and providing technical assistance to NGOs.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and skills applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification and resolution of grants administration issues and knowledge of laws, regulations, agency policy, precedent cases, and other requirements that may affect grant program administration.
5. Excellent English speaking and writing skills are essential
6. Previous supervisory experience required; capacity building experience a strong plus.
7. Experience in supervising staff.
