The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, on Thursday, arrested an immigration officer and two others over alleged forgery of some documents which they alleged belong to the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC).
The other culprits were a former staff of the NTDC and an accomplice.
According to findings, the three suspects were allegedly circulating the documents, in order to discourage promotion of tourism in the country.
Some of the documents were also intended to cause disaffection in the NTDC.
A top source, who spoke in confidence, said "when the police intercepted the suspects, many forged stamps and letters with NTDC letterhead were recovered from them."
When contacted, the FCT police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, confirmed the arrest of the three suspects.
He said "we are investigating a complaint from the Director-General of NTDC, Chief Olusegun Runsewe against three suspects, who had in possession fake NTDC documents.
