According to Manchester City Manager Roberto Mancini, Carlos Tevez has changed his mind about wanting to leave the club.
Mancini claimed Tevez, who wanted to leave City to be closer to his family in Argentina, has now been joined in Manchester by his wife and two daughters.
With just five days left before the transfer window closes, Mancini said he was confident Tevez would remain at City.
He added the £62million double signing of Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri may have also persuaded the Argentinian to stay at City for one more season.
"Carlos is working well, but He's not fit, because he has only been working for two weeks.
"But a player who sees these good players arriving in this good team, after we won the FA Cup last year, will maybe think, 'We can win the title this year.'
"His family is here. For Carlos, it's always been about family reasons. If his family is here, he can stay. This is a good moment for this club. Carlos is one of the best players we have," said Mancini.
