Nigeria Super Falcons defeated its female counterpart, Cameroun's Lionesses by 2-1 in a London 2012 Olympics qualifier game, at the Abuja National Stadium.
The game was a tough one. However, Desire Oparanozie caused the Camerounian defenders a headache and was floored in the box in the 65th minute as veteran striker, Perpetua Nkwocha scored from the spot.
Falcons increased the tally in the 85th minute through Ebere Orji, but there was frantic joy from the Camerounian bench when Nigeria's goalkeeper, Precious Dede failed to keep a volley off her line as match officials ruled the ball had crossed the line for a Cameroun goal.
The 2nd leg of the game would be played in Cameroon.
