Beleaguered Virgin Nigeria has been acquired by Nicon group under the influence of multibillionaire, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim. The deal was consummated on Friday, allowing the group to take controlling shares in an arrangement considered as audacious. Details of the deal were not disclosed, however, as the Nicon group insist its a company matter.
But Ibrahim, the group managing director of Nicon and Global Fleet, said the take-over was part of plan to expand the aviation arm of the conglomerate.
