Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Nigeria
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND/OR TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Technical knowledge related to equipment operations
• Ability to manage the critical situation and analyze the problem to re-solve it.
• Adequate knowledge of cement manufacturing process
• Analytical abilities in case of deviations in operating behaviour of equipment and control of it.
BEHAVIOURAL AND/OR MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES:
• Leadership qualities with capabilities to manage people and function
• Effective communications and capabilities to manage tricky issues based on local conditions
RESPONSIBILITY/MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Ensure efficient, economic and safe operations of the equipments from raw material reclaimer to Packing Plant.
• Achieve target production of clinker and cement to meet marketing requirements
• Ensure clinker and cement quality is in-line with UNICEM and Nigerian Industrial Standard
• Coordinate with maintenance team to improve the availability of the equipments and achieve the rated output of the equipments
• Ensure transmission of technical skill from expatriate to local and develop local people to operate the plant
• Overall coordination and responsible for production activities
• Planning and execution to achieve the target volume of production
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure the availability of resources like materials, equipments etc.
• Create safe working culture and ensure the implementation of safety standards
• Monitor and ensure the implementation of various management systems
