The British Council is recruiting for the following posts based in Lagos:
1. Nigeria - Director Resources
The post holder will:
• Lead the provision of business support services for BC Nigeria country operation, ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to support operations in meeting business objectives.
• Plan, manage and deliver the services of the BC Nigeria Resources Hub and demonstrate high order leadership, management and resources skills to deliver an integrated resources hub that is fit for purpose, compliant and meets the highest corporate standards.
• Promote positive environmental measures to reduce our carbon footprint.
• Contribute to the development of BC Nigeria as an innovative and high performing operation. To model the values and principles of an integrated operation and contribute to regional developments.
The selected candidate should have:
• Extensive Financial Planning and Management training and experience
• At least 5 years Management level experience
• Familiarity with SAP Financial Systems

2. Nigeria - Facilities Manager
The post holder will:
• Contribute to the achievement of British Council objectives through effective and efficient planning, management, delivery and evaluation of facilities, estate, and procurement, and maintainence of an appropriate working and living environment for staff and visitors which is safe and conducive to performance.
• Contribute to the development of BC Nigeria as an innovative and high performing country operation.
• Model the values and principles of an integrated operation and to contribute to BC's regional strategy.
The selected candidate should have:
• An extensive knowledge of facilities management
• A clean, successful and professional track record of work experience in procurement and facilities management
