The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following positions at the Institute's Headquarters, Ibadan.
Position: Mechanic III (2 year's renewable contract)
Duties:
• Install, repair, overhaul and maintain heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital and pneumatic controls.
• Read gauges and instruments and adjust mechanisms such as valves, control and pumps to control level of fluid pressure and distribution in systems.
• Perform planned maintenance regular servicing and repairs to refrigerator (cold store) equipment of all types, sizes and temperature ranges.
• Maintain records or repairs or equipment requiring future service.
• Install, repair, overhaul and maintain small appliance products such as split and window air conditioners, home refrigerators and freezers, room fan coils, dehumidifiers, ice makers, vending machines and water coolers.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience:
• OND Mechanical Engineering or WAEC plus Trade Test I.
• At least 3 years relevant working experience in a reputable organization.
• Appreciable experience working on cold store equipments and central air conditioning systems will be added advantage.
• Candidate must be trustworthy, reliable and must be able to work weekends.
• Ability to drive a vehicle with the possession of a valid Driver's License) is vital.
