Job Title: Officer Fixed Assets

Description:
To accurately record fixed assets inventory with additions, disposals and retirements, properly file all fixed assets transaction documents to ensure easy retrieval and prepare, collate and present accurate supports to standard monthly fixed assets reports.
Key Accountabilities:
• Working with SCM/Legal on sourcing and finalization of agreement with Agents for FA Physical Verification
• Preparation and Circulation of Physical Verification (PV) Templates for the Agents
• Issue letter of Authority to agents and provide all logistics for PV and tagging exercise
• Coordination of PV field works and prompt resolution of all issues
• Consolidation of reports of all the sites for Networks assets, locations for other non-networks assets and warehouses for the Technical
• Calculating and identifying discrepancies and/or differences between records from the physical count and book records and preparing a reconciliation of the two records
• Obtain relevant Technical certificates from Networks for all non-verifiable assets (e.g. fibre optic cables, copper wire cables, and assets at customer locations
• Prepare and present physical verification reports in summary per assets, and in detail per site or location. Also, a comparative report showing asset details per verification and FA register, together with respective discrepancies will also be prepared
• Co-ordination and preparation of system disposal and write off of fixed assets
• Preparation of FAR – GL Accounts reconciliation
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
• A degree in Accounting or Business related courses or other relevant numerate courses. Professional Accounting Qualification is a must (i.e. ACA or ACCA)
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years):
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in Accounting & Finance.
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.): Analytical mind, Result oriented and Team player
