COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, IKERE-EKITI (POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL) ADMISSION INTO ONE YEAR (2 CONTACT VACATIONS) PROGRAMME IN PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (PDE) FOR 2011/2012 CONTACT VACATION Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into Part time one year programme of two (2) contact vacations programme in Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) FOR THE 2011/2012 contact vacation.
OBJECTIVES
The PDE programme in line with TRCN Act is to certify all persons who perform jobs that rightly and legally constitute teaching as well as those who administer teaching and learning in the Nigerian Educational System.
COURSES AVAILABLE
i. PDE Pure Sciences Education (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science and other related fields)
ii. PDE Pure Arts and Social Sciences(English, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Arabic, Languages; Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies; Economics, Geography, Social Studies, History, and other related fields)
iii. PDE Agricultural Education and other related fields)
iv. PDE Automobile Technology Education
v. PDE Business Education
vi. PDE Building Construction Technology Education vii. PDE Electrical/Electronic Technology Education
viii. PDE Fine and Applied Arts Education
ix. PDE Metal Work Education
x. PDE Home Economics
xi. PDE Woodwork Technology Education
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who possess the following qualification in the above listed disciplines are eligible for admission into the programme:
i National Diploma (ND), City & Guilds (Advance and Final)
ii Higher National Diploma (HND)
iii Degree-Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Duration of the Programme The Programme is for two (2) Contact Vacations.
Candidates should note that the 2011/2012 Conctact Vacations shall hold during the Public School Long Vacations.
Method of Application Application forms are obtainable by hand on the payment of application fee of N 6,000.00 in Bank Draft payable to College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.
On presentation of official receipt for N 6,000.00, admission form would be issued at the Post Graduate School, College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti.
Please, note that candidates applying by post should include one stamped self-addressed official envelope.
