Description of the SERVICE:
The SERVICE consists of providing Technical Assistance to the Project Package Teams working in Nigerian Yards in term of metallurgy, welding and non destructive testing applications and Ensuring that Contractors are followings the applicable Project Specifications, Client General Specifications and International Codes/Standards.
Specific Activities:
1. Review the applicable WPS's with existing PQR's.
2. Review and approve the welding matrix and welding procedure specification to be qualified.
3. Participate on welding procedure qualification, including NDE, Mechanical Testing when required.
4. Review the existing WPQ's on validity and traceability.
5. Participate on the Welders and Welding Operators qualifications.
Job Requirements:
• The SERVICE shall be performed in Nigeria, in Lagos area, in EPC contractor's offices or Construction yards as applicable.
• Missions may be required by COMPANY outside the normal working area to other locations worldwide.
• Welding engineer with 7 to 10 years in a similar role
• Knowledge and experience of the French and international codes and standards
African experience, ideally in Nigeria
