Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support and project oversight of mechanical projects and works.
• Requires direct design experience in Oil & Gas industry, preferably with LNG experience.
• Requires the Engineer to perform in varying roles related to detailed engineering design, project execution, technical support and customer relationship development.
• Responsible for the execution of mechanical design activities for assigned projects, through both self execution and as leader of project team.
• Function as Project Lead on specific projects as required, schedule, organize and direct other engineers in the completion of activities.
• Prepare, or supervise the preparation of single or multidiscipline engineering proposals including development of scopes of work, project schedules and cost estimates.
• Prepare, review and or check engineering calculations, designs, drawings and other project documents related to this specific discipline on projects as required.
• Develop, maintain and upgrade technical standards/specifications to be used on specific projects, as well as centralized design basis and historical references.
• Complete all tasks in accordance with design and project execution procedures and guidelines as set forth in corporate Quality Management System.
• As a senior Level Engineer, direct and provide technical guidance to junior engineers within the department.
• Assist the Department to develop standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed within the department.
• Provide enhanced customer support as a technical liaison and support regional business development initiatives as a technical recourse.
Requirement:
• Must be degree qualified and have a minimum 10 years of design experience in Oil & Gas; however preference will be given to candidates with LNG experience.
• Out of the 10 years, the candidate must have 3 years experience as a Piping Engineering Lead.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of pipe stress, pipe supports, piping specifications and piping materials and all the relevant North American Codes.
• The candidate must be fluent in the use of AutoCAD, PDMS, PLANT 3D and other related software's.
• The candidate must be self motivated and must have proven leadership skills.
