Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Design and Construction Project Managers in the Facilities Management Division (FMD) of the Technology and General Services Department (TGS), the position is responsible for ensuring the renovation does not affect the ongoing operation of the HQ1 building and for coordinating design and construction activities with the ongoing operations of the facility, phased transitions of space from occupied to ready for construction and back to occupied.

Duties and Responsibilities
•   Supports the Design and Construction Project Managers in the development of the design and sequence of installation for all mechanical and electrical and plumbing project components.
•   Working with the Tenant Manager, facilitates the coordination of all stakeholders to ensure that business continuity for occupied areas of HQ1 is planned for and maintained. Coordinates with O&M and the General Contractor to review and finalize phased renovation of MEPFP systems. In close coordination with O&M, coordinates the outage process, and serves as the point of contact to resolve issues related to coordination of project work to building operations. Provides data and "content" for communication portals related to operational impact of the HQ1 program.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:
•   Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a relevant advanced university degree, supplemented by a minimum of four years of professional experience in Real Estate, Facilities, Hospitality or Design and Construction field, or equivalent; or a bachelor's degree, supplemented by a minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience in Real Estate, Facilities or Design and Construction field, is required.
•   Technical background in mechanical/electrical system trades.
•   Working knowledge of safety relative to MEP trades.
•   Possesses experience in operations and maintenance, facility design, construction, and/or project management of large, complex commercial or institutional facilities and/or projects.
