Title: Floods: Ipetu-Ijesa Gets Relief

IN reaction to the recent flood which sacked some parts of Ipetu- Ijesa Town in Oriade Local Government Council Area of Osun State, the Osun State government and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have been called upon to quickly intervene so as to help the people affected.

This call was made by the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the council, Honourable Taiwo Fatiregun, recently, during a chat with OSUNDEFENDER COMMUNITY NEWS. Honourable Fatiregundisclosed that majority ofthe people affected werefarmers and their crops.According to the councilboss, "this flood left in itsaftermath devastation,which will surely affect theincome of many of thefarmers".Fatiregun, who disclosed that as at the time of theflood incident, he was awayto Abuja for a crucialofficial assignment, statedthat he immediately gaveinstructions that news ofthe flood should be relayedto all the media houses assoon as he got informed.

The caretaker boss alsomade it known that he hadinstructed the people not tolet the positive lessonslearnt during the 90-daysenvironmental sanitationexercise to die, adding thatthe residents of the council area should always be Mindful of water-drainageand should make everyeffort to clear them so as toavoid a repeat of anotherflood.Meanwhile, thelawmaker representingOriade State Constituencyin the Osun State House of
