Position: 3G Access Design Engineer

Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant post graduate degree will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in the Telecom industry with at least 2 years in a 3G Network.
• Good understanding of 3G access network architecture and parameters.
• Good working experience in 3G access network planning.
• Working knowledge and application of relevant IP and 3GPP technical specifications.
Required Skills:
• RF planning using RF planning tools.
• Drive testing and drive test analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Coverage and capacity planning using a radio network planning tool.
• Logical parameter planning and optimization.
• Capacity planning of RNC and transport.
• Preparation of end-to-end work orders for Node B integration and modification.
• Co-ordination with implementation and operations teams.
