Post by: TGD on Oct 10, 2011, 05:02 PM
GOVERNOR  Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has sworn in two new commissioners, who are members of Accord Party (AP), even as he declared that the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) was ready to partner with other political parties to move the state forward.

The new commissioners –Kabiru Abiola Ladoja and Alhaji Nureni Oladipo Adisa, had earlier been cleared by the state House of Assembly.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony at the Executive Chamber of the Governor's Office, Ajimobi stressed the readiness of the ruling party to extend hands of fellowship to other parties who were ready to work with it.

"We want to offer our hands of fellowship to other political parties. For instance, Accord Party has demonstrated the willingness to cooperate with our party (ACN) to move the state forward. We also want to extend the same gesture to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); should they be willing to work with us, we will welcome them, he said.
