The Minister of Sports and Chairman of National Sports Commission (NSC) Yusuf Suleiman has cautioned Nigerians over the attempt in some quarters to heap the entire blame for the nation's failure to qualify for the 2012 edition of the African Cup of Nations on the Chief Coach of Super Eagles Samson Siasia.
Vanguard
l strongly support the views of Suleiman, Siasia is not the problem of Nigerian football. Lets call a spade a spade!
Good that this is coming from the ministry. If it were to be in the past, Siasia's appointment is already story. Failure should not discourage but rather stimulate us to move further. I think the Minister of Sports and Chairman of National Sports Commission (NSC) are getting it right. Let the loophole be checked and rectified rather than destroying the entire hole..... Or what do you think?
You made a good point! Nigeria football is characterized with corruption, maladministration, football politicking, God-father-ism, tribalism, indiscipline on the part of Nigerian-foreigner based players, to mention just a few. So far so good, he has try to punish indiscipline (key) players, by not inviting them for matches, even important games, in the interest of football progress in the country. So, why Heep the blame on Siasia?
