Title: Osun Govt Committed To Improving Peoples’ Living Standard – Akere

Osun State government has reiterated its commitment to improving the standard of living of the people of the state, just as it accords high priority to the womenfolk.

Occupier of an important position in nation building, maintaining that nobody should toy with their welfare and development.

Akere, who was represented by the Director, Grassroots and Public Enlightenment of the ministry, Mrs. Femi Webster-Esho, stated this on Monday, at Ogbaagbaa, during the on-going market rallies designed by the ministry, to bring government nearer to the people, especially at the grassroots level.

The commissioner stressed that Governor Rauf Aregbesola's administration is poised to eradicate poverty, hunger, hardship and ignorance, adding that the state will soon witness tremendous development in the next few months.

According to Akere, unemployment problem facing the youths of the state will soon vanish as the present administration is working assiduously for industrial development of the state, which would accommodate thousands of the youths. 

He stated that the establishment of the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) has brought succour to some of the youths, who had been roaming the streets hopelessly.

Akere promised that Aregbesola will not disappoint the people of the state, adding that the people's expectations and confidence reposed in the governor will be adequately protected.

Speaking at the market rally, the Iyaloja of Osun State, Alhaja Asimowu Asindemade, called on the women to support and cooperate with the current administration for its success.

Asindemade, while applauding the various laudable programmes of the present administration in the state, assured the market men and women of the love and concern Aregbesola has for the masses, saying that the governor meant well for the people of the state.
