For the second time in two years, the United States (US) government has rated Nigeria high for increased efforts and achievements in preventing severe forms of human trafficking. Nigeria is said to have maintained its "Tier 1" placement as "countries whose governments fully comply with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act's (TVPA) minimum standards.''
