Overall purpose:
Management and implementation of the Corporate Communications objectives, policies and strategic communications plans of IGI
Job description / Responsibilities:
Shall be responsible for the management and implementation of the Corporate Communications objectives, policies and strategic communications plans of IGI.
Report to: Director, Corporate Communications
Knowledge/Skills:
• Rounded Marketing Communication background and exposure in Public Relations, Advertising, Events Management, Protocol and advisory services.
• Demonstrable innovative spirit is a necessity.
• Sound and deep knowledge of current industry trends.
• Ability to work for long hours with minimum supervision.
• Willingness to travel at short notices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written).
Qualifications/Experience:
• A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable university in Liberal Arts, Social Sciences or business related disciplines.
• Higher degree(s) M.Sc or MBA will be added advantage.
• Membership of relevant professional association is very desirable.
• Minimum of thirteen (13) years post qualification experience with at least seven (7) years in Corporate Communications and Allied industry including four (4) years in top/senior management position.
