Krita is a KDE program for creative sketching and painting application, based on Calligra technology. It supports most graphics advanced features such as: 16-bit image support, High dynamic resolution images, CMYK and even color management.
As part of the KOffice suite it added a full features image editing and drawing application - including lots of filters for either serious use or just to play around with. Krita program offers an end–to–end solution for creating digital painting files from scratch by masters.
The fields of painting that Krita explicitly supports are concept art, creation of comics and textures for rendering.
