Job Title: International Sales Agent

Responsibilities:
• The International Sales Agent is responsible for generating sales revenue from the Company's services into West Africa from international telecommunications companies.
• The International Sales Agent will develop new business for Main One and also maintain relationships with new customers as well as existing customers to sustain revenue streams.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Identify opportunities and potential target accounts to build a solid sales pipeline and define the entry strategy to penetrate accounts
2. Provide qualified leads and schedule necessary appointments with potential customers in order to generate new business in the international community
3. Work with identified potential customers in the various regions to close international capacity subscription deals and generate revenue for the company
4. Develop and maintain key relationships with international customers
5. Maintain a good level of understanding and knowledge of the Main One's products and services, ensuring that customer enquiries and needs can be captured and dealt with accurately and appropriately
6. Follow up with the Technical and other relevant teams within Main One and at the customers' to ensure customer requirements are met on a timely basis
7. Actively seek customers in international markets, be up to date with latest industry trends and technical advancements to anticipate new customer opportunities
8. Speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional brand image is provided at all times to customers and in the market place
9. Follow up marketing campaigns and events to generate new prospective leads, identifying and qualifying opportunities for new business
10. Engage and interact with decision makers at senior level to identify new and emerging business opportunities
11. Develop and make sales presentations on products and services to decision making audiences
Contacts: The International Sales Agent will be required to liaise and interface regularly with members of the Sales and Marketing team and other groups/departments such as Technical as well as senior company managers.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferably in business management with specialisation in sales and marketing
2. Minimum of 8 years' industry experience and a sound track record in International Capacity Sales
3. Good knowledge of IP, IPLC, MPLS, SDH technologies and services
4. International carrier sales experience will be relevant
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Highly energetic self-starter and able to work independently
7. Strong experience in business to business sales
8. Goal-oriented and business negotiating skills
9. Strong customer service and relationship management
10. Good research & report writing skills
11. Good organizational, analytical and creative thinking skills
12. Good presentation skills
13. Knowledge of a 2nd relevant language will be an advantage
14. Ability to work under minimal supervision
15. Will be required to travel, including in West Africa
16. Contract sales position with base stipend plus attractive commission on contracted and delivered sales
17. Flexible – Western Europe or East Coast US
