Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning

Responsibilities:
1. Take responsibility for the overall management and delivery of Main One's financial model, plan and drive the financial planning & budgeting processes.
2. Evaluate business proposals and provide in-depth analysis of the financial and economic impact on Main One and its affiliated businesses as well as develop the corresponding measures for new businesses.
3. Evaluate and analyze MainOne's financial situation against available information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes in areas such as investment and management of funds.
4. Develop models and tools for reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Main One's performance in a group reporting function.
5. Responsible for the measurement, planning and forecasting of Main One's business activities and their implications to its income statement and balance sheet.
6. Review management information and identify key business trends.
7. Perform industry competitive and pricing analysis as a precursor to pricing and cost decisions amongst others
8. Develop financial models and analyses to support the strategic initiatives of Main One and its subsidiaries
9. Liaise, as appropriate, with Main One's funding authority and other funding sources.
10. Develop new capabilities to improve processes and efficiency of spend and to develop appropriate financial methods of evaluating and measuring the financial performance to be applied by financial reporting teams.
11. Support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth financial analysis
12. Responsible for efficiently structuring and managing all insurance policies for the company and its subsidiaries.
Contacts: You will be required to constantly liaise with other groups/departments; Technical, Project Management, Marketing, Administration etc. regarding financial issues, as well as externally with financiers.
Competencies Required:
1. A degree in Accounting/Finance
2. At least 8 years' experience with at least 4 years performing financial modelling and analysis.
3. Must possess demonstrated proficiency in spread sheet applications
4. Strong quantitative & analytical skills
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Research & writing skills
8. Problem solving skills
9. Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel
10. Proficiency in relevant accounting software will be an advantage
Demands of the Job:
1. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projections.
2. Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, customer behaviour, profitability and return on investment modelling and general economic modelling.
3. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
5. Able to research, analyse and interpret complex information and produce clear verbal and written reports.
6. Ability to adapt easily to change.
7. May be required to work long hours and involve some travel
