Principal Responsibilities:
•   Provide leadership to a team of engineers in fulfilling the day-to-day activities
•   Perform dimensioning of radio networks, frequency planning, coverage predictions;
•   Perform radio surveys;
•   Perform cell parameter settings;
•   Capacity to interact with the customer at a Senior Technical lead level
•   Perform Network strategy consulting;
•   Assist in marketing and sales activities, customer negotiations;
•   Take part in development of internal methods and tools;
•   Transfer competence to internal/external customers in Radio Network Design/Improvement area;
•   Develop competence of new employees and subcontractors;
•   Support other units and Ericsson companies within own area of knowledge and competence;
•   Manage Network Consulting projects;
•   Perform customer survey;
•   Report progress within the assigned area.

This is a senior level role. Resource should have a minimum of 4 years WRAN Radio Network Design experience and provide detailed Team Lead, Customer Interface functions and Managerial proficiency.
Resource will interact with customer at Senior Manager level and should have good technical and leadership experience.

Skills:
1). Very good Radio planning knowledge.
2). Extensive knowledge on Mapinfo; e.g.. creating clusters and drive routes,
3). Real understanding of second carrier planning for expansion.
4). Compilation of Low Level Design report and able to answer customer questions on related issues.
5).Winfiol or moshell experience to extract network data relating to RF Planning, e.g. IRAT parameters and Channel Element Utilisation to cater for Expansion.
6). Link budget analysis.
7). Good understanding of 3G and HSDPA/EUL
8). Good knowledge on Rooftop design and antenna separation analysis. This also means good understanding of antenna propagation theory.
9). Proficient use of Microsoft excel.
10). Re-homing experience (due to an expansion), thus creating and deleting external UTRAN cells for the various RNCs involved.
11). Manual Planning of Primary Scrambling Code
12). Manual Planning of UTRAN and IRAT Neighbours
13). Relationship between uplink (UL) loading and capacity (No of users)
14). familiar  MCOM (Ericsson tool used for UTRAN Neighbour planning)
15). familiar with TCPU (Ericsson Proprietary planning tool)
 
Qualifications: Engineering degree or equivalent in Radio Communication or Electrical Technique or Telecommunication.

Excellent knowledge and experience of:
•   Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering;
•   Radio Network Statistics;
•   Transmission;
•   PC based tools;
•   Knowledge / experience of standard IT environments;
•   Very high knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments;
•   Knowledge of SQL database solutions as well as GIS;
•   Local requirements and regulation of RF documentation.

Profound knowledge:
•   Telecom networks;
•   Quality requirements and methods;
•   Business processes;
•   Customer's business environment, processes and driving forces from a short and long-term perspective;
•   Specialized consulting skills, strong change management skills and an in-depth knowledge of the industry;
•   Customer oriented mindset, good interpersonal and communication skills;
•   Fluent oral and written English.
