l was watching a movie and a guy said he can't marry his pregnant girlfriend because its a taboo in his culture...now that's wierd and stupid to me.
My question is this...is there any culture/tradition that forbids a man from marrying a pregnant woman in Africa?

How can you marry a pregnant woman? Who impregnated her? In Yoruba land, it is forbidden to sleep with a pregnant woman while the pregnant is not yours. I have heard that a man that does that will be lacking until the baby reaches the age of 1 year.
Can anyone confirm this for me?

The movie was about a guy who said he can't marry his pregnant girlfriend, because its a taboo in his culture. He impregnated the girl, not someone else.
