Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Lagos
Reference: FC
Objectives:
• Reporting to the Managing Director
• Provide leadership in the development and sustainable of skills, competencies and capabilities within the finance department.
• Coordinate the budgetary process and activities of the company including monthly preparation of variance analysis report.
• Formulate and implement finance policies and procedures.
• Oversee the approval and processing of revenue expenditure, departmental budgets, salary administration ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analysis and information reports.
• Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and operational plans and projects.
• Analyze cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide business leaders.
• Analyze financial statements to pinpoint weak areas.
• Establish and implement short and long term range finance departmental goals objectives, policies and operating procedures.
Knowledge, Skill and Competencies:
• Good presentations skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Ability to maintain, establish and institute harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts.
• Ability to work effectively in a professional environment.
• Strong understanding of property regulations and management.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial ability in a complex organization.
Qualification and Experience:
• B.Sc Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2nd Class Upper Degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 7 years cognate experience.
• Professional qualification in Accounting (ACA, ACCA) is also required.
• Not more than 45 years old.
