Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lagos
Reference: QS
Objectives:
• Measurement & Preparation of & Pricing BoQ/BEME for Building, Civil, Mechanical & electrical Engineering works for Tendering.
• Follows up & Negotiation of Tenders with Consultants.
• Identifying, preparing & defending sundry variation/Fluctuation Claims.
• Preparation & Follow up/Defending Interim Valuations.
• Cost Control of project in liaison with Accounts/other technical Departments.
• Preparation of Periodic Financial reports/statements for Management use.
• Maintaining & updating Cost Data from Market/Specialist prices.
• Contract Administration including writing contractual letters to Consultants preparation of & Agreeing Project Final Accounts with Consultants.
• Others as required by management.
Knowledge, Skill and Competencies:
• Sound Computer Literacy (MS Word & Excel)
• Ability to learn new skills & work with minimum Supervision.
• High level of Loyalty, Integrity & ethical Conduct.
• Strong organizational & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent writing & communication skills.
Qualification and Experience:
• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveyor from a reputable institution.
• Professional qualification (MNIQS) is desirable but not compulsory.
• 5-7 years cognate experience as Quantity Surveyor in the Construction Industry.
• Age range: between 30 & 35 years.
