(II) Qualifications
(a) University Librarian (CONUASS 7 )
• Candidates should possess at least a Masters degree in Library Science (MLS) from a recognised university, with fifteen (15) years cognate experience with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals.
• Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria is also required.
(b) Deputy University Librarian (CONUASS 6 )
• Candidates should possess at least a Masters degree in Library Science (MLS) from a recognised university, with fifteen (14) years cognate experience with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals.
• Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria is also required
(c) Principal Librarian (CONUASS 5)
• Candidates should possess a Masters degree in Library Science (MLS) from a recognised university, with nine (9) years cognate experience with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals.
• Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria is also required.
(d) Senior Librarian (CONUASS 4)
• Candidates should possess the same as for (a) above but with six (6) years cognate experience with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals.
• Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria is also required.
(e) Library Officer (CONTISS 6)
Candidates should possess National Diploma (ND) in Library & Information Science from a recognised institution.
