Job Description:
•Assist the Shipping and Distribution Manager in efficiently running the daily activities of the unit.
•Carry out or execute functional plans and arrange necessary logistics for distribution of equipments to the respective project sites across the country.
•Receive and document Proof of Delivery (PoDs).
•Implement strategies for optimizing loads with courier companies.
•Liaise with courier companies to agree weights and negotiate rates where necessary.
•Collate data for the distribution management function, prepare and present periodic performance reports .
•Monitor stock dispatch, taking log of all orders received, noting volume of orders and delivery lead-time.
•Receive ordered stock for and from warehouse, conduct regular spot checks and confirm issuance of goods to the courier company.
•Update dispatch database.
•Conduct periodic resource planning to ensure that adequate distribution resources are sourced in good time.
Job Conditions:

Required Skills:
•First degree in any discipline preferable Social Sciences or a numerate discipline.
•2 years working experience in a commercial environment with wide distribution network.
•Experience in Inventory control/ warehousing and distribution will be added advantage
