The candidate will oversee the strategic product management for an assigned product line in support of the organization's goals and market need. He/She is responsible to ensure product profit and growth goals are met
Key Responsibilities: – Responsible for end to end product management, the development of product strategy, product financials, sales performance and operational delivery: – Develop product propositions to fill unfulfilled customer needs and drive customer behaviour changes: develop and manage customer surveys and focus groups – Conceptualize and develop new product ideas, customize existing products as per customer needs, coordinate with risk/operations/legal/audit to obtain clearance for new products, create product communication – Test the product propositions through customer research : assess competitive offerings and customer profile – Develop monthly, quarterly and annual P&L forecasts by product – Partner with operations and technology to design and implement the systems for product delivery – Partner with risk/operations/legal/audit to design and co-ordinate the development of operations processes for product delivery – Partner with marketing to develop the marketing collateral, PR plan and media plan for product launch and ongoing promotion : allocate promotional budgets organize promotional activities and campaigns – Develop pricing models and test price elasticity – Co-ordinate legal and compliance approvals for all new product launches – Develop and implement customer profitability models – Develop and implement data warehouse, data mining – Implement controls within the business unit to meet all regulatory and internal requirements – Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring of activities and timely resolution of risk issues – Enhance brand value and thought leadership via authoring articles, speaking engagements, .media and roundtable events – Establish a strategy that drives a customer-centric view into Transaction Banking with activities including but not limited to focus groups, customer surveys and VoC
Education/Professional Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or any Social Sciences. A Post graduate degree will be an added advantage.
Experience: – Minimum of 6 years in the banking industry and a consulting firm – At least 3 of the 6 years should have been involved managing a team and a P&L
