Manchester City defeated Bayern Munich 2-0, in the UEFA Champions League, played at Ethid Stadium, on 7th December 2011.
However, the win was not enough to put City through to the next round of the competition, because Napoli won its own game against Villarreal.
City would now have to play in the lower Europa league competition.
