Job Title: Packaging Manager

Job Profile:
To manage and coordinate the packaging department (people, plant, process and systems) in order to achieve the required standard of product quality and output in the most efficient and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage human resources
• Plan resource requirements and implementation of strategic objectives
• Manage plant, process and systems
• Manage productivity
• Translate and implement brewing, manufacturing and business strategies
• Manage occupational health, safety and risks
• Organize/interpret data and operational information
• Compile and manage budgets
• Authorize weekly/annual production plans
• Coordinate CAPIN/CAPEX justification for brewing
• Manage asset care for brewing plant
Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of B.Sc. degree in Engineering(Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering) and/or additional business qualifications.
• Minimum of five(5) years’ experience at a senior line management position, preferably in a brewery or FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of asset care principles and good work practices
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of packaging raw materials manufacturing processes and critical quality aspects.
• Passion for WCM/MEP
• High financial and systems numeracy
• Proven leadership ability
• Great communication and team-related skills
• Good understanding of the principles and practices of manufacturing excellence
• Good understanding of principles and practices of manufacturing excellence
