Job Title: Brewing Engineer

Job Profile:
To provide technical expertise to the shift teams, in order to optimize the process and performance measures for brewing process areas and to ensure maintenance integrity within brewing section.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise
• Optimize plant and equipment availability
• Optimize production processes
• Manage/optimize computerized maintenance management system integrity and optimal usage.
• Mentor and coach the shift team
• Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
• Manage human resources
• Compile and manage asset care budgets for brewing
• Optimize maintenance reliability, availability and cost.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Minimum of B.Sc. degree in Engineering (Mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering) and/or additional business qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in brewing engineering or related field experience at a senior leadership position, preferably in a brewery or FMCG environment.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of WCM/MEP strategies and initiatives
• Familiarity with reliability centred maintenance systems
• Good understanding of brewing operational processes and technologies
• Proven leadership skills
• Analytical problem solver
• Influencing ability with regards to asset care
