Job Description:
• Lead and manage the project operations team
• Be the customer's focal point for day to day project operations activities
• Be the internal focal point for all project operations matters
Support development of appropriate business strategies
• Lead development of project operations personnel development strategies
• Lead development of the project operations execution plan Lead customer satisfaction concerning the project operations
• Support enhancement of existing customer relationships
Provide leadership and motivate the project operations team
• Define project operations organisation and mobilise appropriate personnel
• Manage project operations team and process
• Manage the project operations process to be effective and efficient
• Ensure development of project operations process and software to support projects is defined, planned and executed in a professional manner
• Ensure project installation operations are suitably defined and changes are managed effectively
• Ensure that operations activities are coordinated effectively within the project operations team and with other disciplines to minimise potential exposure to loss
• Ensure the management of change process including revision of plans and documents, project reviews and approvals and other external input and reviews is quality controlled effectively
• Deliver the operations deliverables from preparation, review, approval, execution and close out in a safe, timely and cost effective manner
• Be responsible concerning HSES to deliver project requirements safely and without incident
• Contribute and encourage technical and other development necessary to advance project returns in accordance with strategic plans in liaison with the key personnel
• Introduce innovation where feasible to derive more cost effective solutions with fewer resources and improved quality without HSES loss
• Strive to add value through innovation, effective team working and efficient use of resources
• Report project operations progress and performance in accordance with predefined requirements
• Aim to exceed specified project delivery targets and stretched targets
• Lead project operations improvement process
• Manage project operations personnel development improvement process

Desired Skills & Experience:
• Good first degree in a relevant engineering or other discipline
• Post graduate qualification in a related discipline is desirable
• Minimum 20 years experience in the oil and gas business
• Demonstrable track record in project operations management leading a successful team with a minimum of 15 years
• A fundamental understanding of key subjects including HSE, cost, time, quality and customer management In depth knowledge of offshore platforms and subsea pipelines, onshore construction, offshore installation and commissioning of completed systems
• Must be a decision maker, meet targets and work under pressure
• Must be motivated and be a motivator.
• Have excellent business, planning and organisation skills
• Be a good negotiator and enjoy dealing with people, whether by phone of in person
• Must be confident with excellent written and oral communication skills
